Why You Should Use A Travel Professional: Reason One - I Save You Time
We started talking about why I believe everyone should use a travel professional a few months ago (everyone except the controller or hyper perfectionist, but more on that later). Let's delve deeper into my "why's" behind my statement.
Reason number one is... I save you time. How does a travel professional do that you might ask - by doing all of the heavy lifting for you. I research everything on your behalf so you don't have to spend countless hours on the internet searching for the perfect hotel at the perfect destination with the perfect experiences planned. Also keep in mind that I have experience with planning travel to destinations and already probably have an arsenal of recommendations both personal and client based. I also have industry connections that you don't have access to who are more than happy to help me help you.
On average you will make 32.5 visits to just over 10 websites. It can take you anywhere between 10 - 40 hours to research travel depending on they type of trip, the destination, the complexity of the trip, airfares, transportation once you arrive - are you overwhelmed yet? Do you have an extra 10 - 40 hours of your life to "figure it out" on your own and hope that you made the best choice for your travel experience? I know I don't have that kind of time to invest in researching the best way to do something when I know there are professionals who already have the answers I need. We do it everyday though, don't we? We google "How To" and "The Best Way To" everyday in our search for the perfect solution to our problems. Why? Why do we do that? Especially when there are professionals who can give us a better way, a more perfect path to our end game. I have come to a point and time that I hope you will come to soon as well, that now I would rather research the perfect professional to help me accomplish my goal no matter how big or small. There comes a point when your time is more valuable than a dollar amount simply because you place a higher value on that precious nonrenewable asset. My most favorite thing to say to people is, "I can figure out how to make more money, I haven't figured out how to make more time."
What is your time worth to you? If you are the type of traveler who loves to research because in doing so you are learning about the destination, chances are you may be the type of carefree traveler who will rent a car and "get lost" in a destination by immersing yourself in the experience. There is nothing wrong with that. I love that type of traveler; I am that type of traveler at times. If you are a busy professional, entrepreneur, mother - whatever it doesn't matter what it is - how valuable is your time to you? Can you afford to spend the time it will take you to do the research even if at a minimum it takes 10 hours away from other priorities? We are a convenience culture. Don't believe me? When's the last time you made anything from scratch or sewed your own clothing? I saw a lightbulb go off over a few heads. I save you time. I make travel convenient for you by handling all of the arrangements on your behalf. That my friend, is where your actual travel experience begins. How easy is that? You are welcome.
